Modern Technology Rocks!!

We've had quite a few nights lately that required me to be up all night. If I wasn't up all night, then I was up during hours where darkness is normally appreciated.

This late night "up-ness" got me to wishing for a book light. I had one. The batteries were dead. Of course, they're not normal batteries either. They're weird disc like batteries.

So when I found a book light that took AAA batteries, I snagged.

I didn't know what a treat I was getting!!
It's called a "Book Light Deluxe" and it's compact, adjustable, convenient. Says so right on the box.

Then I discovered another feature that is touted on the box!!

"Enjoy your book while Sleeping."

Now THAT'S cool!! I kid you not, that's what the box says. I can't wait to try it out!! And only $10 - it's a great deal. I can get so much reading done now that I don't have to be awake!!! This totally rocks!!

It's getting late, I guess I'll go to bed and read.

LOLOL at "enjoy your book while sleeping." Let me know how that works for you. I think I could use one of them, it would be great to catch up on my reading while I'm just wasting time sleeping. :)

Hope things have improved and you can actually sleep at night.

Does it work if you're using the book as a pillow? Because I tried that in high school and let me tell you, it didn't work.

Let me guess ... that light wasn't made in this country, right?

Interpreters aren't paid enough.

I hate those stupid disc batteries that cost too much - I look for items that don't use them. You're just asking for a costly inconvenience.

Let us know how sleep-reading goes. Maybe I could learn French that way.

Kate (who's been up way too late and should be sleeping!)

WHAT could that mean - enjoy your book while you're sleeping?
Let me know how that works.
I googled "Book Light Deluxe" and found a gillion with that name or those descriptive keywords - can you show us exactly which one you got?

I love my rechargeable booklight - I have had it for years.

Hope you are able to get some sleep sometime soon!

That's funny, I was just wishing for a good book light the other night. I'm a night owl by nature, married to a runner/morning guy. So he'd prefer to be in bed by 9:30 every night. Sheeesh, I'm just finding my countertop amid the day's rubble at 9:30 p.m.

But 6:45 a.m. comes early and I cannot drive the kids late to school in my jammies EVERY morning! (He's out the door and on the train by 6:20) So I have been re-training my summer hours brain and body to shut down by 10. Nothing works like climbing in at 9:30 for some quiet reading while hubby snores rhythmically. Quite lulling. My my booklight is a dinosaur and quite bulky and my boys have hid their snazzy new ones from me cuz I wear their batteries down too fast.

Anyway. All that to say, can't wait to hear more about the wonders of this new tool - If I pick a really boring book to sleep with, maybe I'll fall asleep BEFORE the snoring starts :)

First, let me say that I'm a little surprised you need a light to read in your sleep. I've never found darkness to be the problem. However, I am very interested to discover your level of enjoyment using that reading method, as I've had problems.

Patiently waiting...

Please pass a picture along of this new book light--imagine the Bible reading I could get done at night? :)

Thanks for stopping by.
Your comments to the post were right on tract. God has been doing some deep cleaning. And when you think, Good that's done. Then you had better watch out because the tests are coming.
At this point the test is living in my house.
Praying to be tested and found tried and true. ;)

I need books I can enjoy while sleeping. I could read so much more that way.

Maybe now you can get a good night's rest! LOL! Don't ya just love instructions? My dd has a hair straightener that says, "Do not use while sleeping." Has someone done that? CAN someone do that?

Happy Reading!

That is hilarious!! Apparently the light not only lights up the book but also reads it to you while you are sleeping.

Hope things are better and you're able to sleep.
