Since I was in a mood ... a funky mood ...
and felt like writing ... I decided to search around for a new blog look.
Several of my blogging buddies have grabbed some back grounds from Cutest Blog on the Block.
I liked what I saw. But I couldn't find something that was me.
So I paid them.
I warned them -- "I'm like this with the lady who does my hair"
I want quirky, unique - Maybe something denimy because... I am, after all, Comfy Denim.
Colors to go with it?? Maybe Purple??
They read my e-mail.
The didn't respond to tell me - "You're a bit too crazy for us" ... in fact the next thing I heard from them was "What do you think of this?"
The back ground was great! They had a question - Do you want more?
I didn't know.
What did they think??
(Yes. I do this with my hair dresser!)
They sent back a design -- and it was perfect.
Then they sent the banner and I about hurt myself with Glee.
So here's the first post with my new blog-do. and I can't wait to write more.
It's like having a new pad of paper.
Thanks to Lyndzi and the wonderful As yet to be named designer(s).
I love it.

Look alike??
It's okay to laugh. Really. I did.
So I was playing with this last night. I've tried three different pictures. Despite getting three different sets of answers... I'm just not finding a celebrity that looks like me.
It could be the extra weight on my face...it could be the angle of the pose.
Whatever... There's just not a celebrity that looks like me.
And I guess that's just fine. I'd say I was one of a kind - but I look like my brother. That's it!! He needs to become a celebrity...then myproblems momentary blog entry issues would be solved!
J-man came along the lap top and said, "That doesn't look like you."
"That doesn't look like you."
Then he pointed at my picture..
"THAT looks like you."
Sweet talker.

Extra Special sort of Giddy...
We sat down at the table, he and I, after the kids went to bed.
Me with my laptop and Story Binder and He with his Study notes and a 3-ring binder.
It was a moment of togetherness.
It's cheesy, I know, but the moment thrilled me so much I ran to get the camera.
(Please ignore Aquaman there in the middle of the table. He was being dramatic)

Mood Ring Exploded...
Have you ever had one of those days where you think your mood ring (if you wore one) would explode?
I have high highs and low lows. David had the same kind of thing. The only way to turn it around is to change the way you think -- but in the depths of the low,
all the bushes around you contain contain an enemy.
Ninjas ready to strike.
When I'm in one of those moods - I also tend to be desirous to rant about the things that I wanted to rant about before.
Like people who made no effort to communicate with me (even though I tried) -- and yet still want to pretend there's a relationship. I actually have an easier time communicating with people who didn't pretend there was a relationship, than I do with those that did. (I know it's because I was more emotionally invested in the relationship. And therefore more let down when it was one sided.)
or the one constant -- I don't like fake people. They make me twitchy.
or that time --- when that thing -- and ... yeah, you see where I'm going with this.
It can be an interesting ride. It's probably a good thing I don't have a mood ring.
When these moods strike- platitudes are my enemy. The disdain I have for them is enormous. Grate on my teeth kind of annoyance.
Generally speaking, I am fairly optimistic, easy-going, kind of person. (note that I did not say stress free)
but there are just times -- when the glass is half empty.
or - horror of horrors - just a glass.
Coming out of a low place, though - makes me cherish and relish life and the randomness that God has given me.
I can completely relate to David's psalms..going from one extreme thought (They're coming to get me) to the other (he puts my enemies at my feet) ... You know what?? I enjoy that God knows where I am even in the lowest of the low places. Especially when they feel so damn solitary.
I'm a WYSIWYG person. What you see is what you get. Which includes the random blog post from somewhere lower than a high place...
Even so - I know.....
I KNOW -
there WILL be something beautiful come from it.

Colors
So the other day, Bubbles, who's nearly 4 now. (WOW!) was coloring on fingernails. She wanted to color mine. I thought something along the lines of "Why not? It'll keep her busy. It'll wash."
She even had a pattern. Purple ... pink ... purple... you get the idea. then I had to wash it off.
Later, she wanted to do it again. This time she wanted toes, too.
And then things got carried away. I didn't mind. It's just skin. She started drawing on the foot. I really didn't mind. Self-expression is good. I kept telling her to NOT scribble -- to Draw..use other colors. She wasn't so keen on listening.

She added more colors. Not sure I liked the color scheme, but oh well - in for a penny, in for a pound.
Then she moved to my arm. The Right arm:

I told her I didn't want a completely GREEN arm. So she switched to blue. Sigh.
She was only half interested in the left arm:
I added the blue lines as an example. "If she'd have used designs..."
Mini-Me freaked out quite a bit over the entire deal. "MOM! She's drawing on you!"
I had my lap top in my lap, I guess she didn't think I could feel it.
Bubbles sat next to me and grinned. Then reached up and scribbled on my forehead.
It was so fast and quick All I could was laugh.
Telling her "no" and laughing at the same time makes my 'no' completely unbelievable.
which is why there's more than one color.
She also got my chin and cheek and chest. (Darn V-neck t-shirt!)
My mom came by that day. Stopped cold at the door to ask, "Did you fall asleep and Bubbles get you with the markers?"
I went willingly. No sneak attack necessary.
I apparently left it on my skin for too long, though. It took a few showers to get the tint to finally go away.
Since Jane is a genius and I was ordering something from Amazon.com anyway, I included the book in my order.
I'm amused by the book itself -- but really - I'm amused by the size.
I have really small hands. Just so you know.

The Tile is exactly 13inches across. The feet belong to G-man and Mini-Me:

Mostly, I"m amused at the story.
Jane is a genius.
I am now free of marker dye.
It'll probably happen again.
and that's okay with me.
