Nothin' to say...

And I'm still sitting here.
I was going to blog. Reason 1: I had a few moments. Reason 2: I hate leaving a blog post up too long. It's almost like I stopped to think and forgot to start again.

So now that I'm sitting here, I've forgotten what I was going to say.
So do I dare say "nothing" anyway??

Probably not. :-) Especially since I just remembered I'm distracted by the kid's cartoons. Which is currently "Martha Speaks".

Of course, I'm distracted by my own cartoons.

I used this song today in our review of the 50 US states. :-)

I'm not sure they're ready for this one, though.

But we might play it as we study Cultures and countries.

Ha! Can you believe there are people out there who say cartoon are not educational? I learned to appreciate classical music throuigh Bugs Bunny cartoons. I still love the Barber of Seville! I can picture old Bugs working on Elmer Fudd's bald head. Maybe I should find it on You Tube- it must be there!

I think we'll have geography class tomorrow, after all.

The only thing I remember from geography class in school is George Edward's Old Grandmother Rode A Pig Home Yesterday.

Three words for the next time you're staring at a blog screen with nothing to say:

"Ahh...never mind!"

I Love Love Love the animaniacs... although not so much when my son started to say "Hello, Nurse!" But that's how we learned the states and countries and the Midnight Ride of Paul Revere.

We watched the last one and I asked my youngest if she was ready for a test on it. She did get a slightly panicked look.... =P

I had to think about your comment on my blog for a moment. I love the Warners, especially the clip you have here. "Ahh....never mind!" is a phrase Yakko uses, as well as my apporach to staring at a blank screen. I try to write and then say, "Ahhh, never mind!" Just a little friendly writer's suggestion.

pssst! Comfy!
I was looking up Pinky and the Brain last night and realized Brain's song "Brainstem" is there! You could use that for anatomy!

Have to watch the Geography song again. I'm wondering how accurate the European nations are at this point. :o)

To answer your question: You! You are one of the names! Submit something!

Peace and Laughter!

Thanks for your comment - I'm sorry I didn't post photos of the new baby elephant (I'm not really good at that yet!) However, if you Google Oregon Zoo, they should have photos. It is a cute little thing!

Enjoy your week,
Kate

My daughter was just looking these up & playing them for us the other night when my cousin & his wife were here. Not sure how the subject came up, but... Anyway, I distinctly remember one that had *just* the states, no capitals, but to the same tune as that one. But we couldn't find it. Maybe I imagined it.

Shows everything is educational!
I know exactly what you mean. Surely we've all had times of thinking, "That last blog has been up for a few weeks! What on earth have we been doing?" But catching up with your last group of posts, I can see that you always do have plenty of interest to say.
Blessings,
Paula
