The Search has begun...

I enlisted the help of GoofyGirl who designs here and blogs here.
She gave me my wonderful design before - and while I love it - I thought it was time for a spring look. I even get to keep the old design!! I just love my new look. It's got a quirk factor that suits me. I am pleased. Thank you, Heather!

So -- now I can think of quirky things to post about -- like my hunt for the ellusive Wii. The game console that is never in stock at the stores - but seem to be abundant on e-bay.

The Professor has decided that this would make a great Birthday present. I agree, of course. As he is difficult to buy for. When he mentioned this - I snatched the idea. Perfect!! How difficult would it be??

Ha! My optimism could possibly be dashed in this pursuit of the elusive wii. Since there aren't any in the stores around me (right now) I've searched on e-bay. I have bid on 7 and lost all of them. Somewhere along the way, someone has decided that they are worth over $300. I mean, really. If I wanted to pay that kind of money - I would buy a PlayStation 3.

I do feel a bit like Elmer Fudd, though.
Shhhh.... I'm hunting game consoles.

If I can't find one before The Professor's birthday - the real challenge begins. He'll have to come up with ideas.

what? what?

I almost had to have Miss Language grab me a brown paper bag to breathe in... I thought it was the wrong blog altogether...

I will breathe deeply and try to adjust.

(I have to admit it looks good. But ~~ where are the forks?)

:D

Thank you for bringing back the forks.

My kids have to wear helmets, too. Good thing I don't have your Mom's email or I would probably tell her she needs to keep a closer eye on you.

Love the new look. Too bad I'm too cheap and/or non-techy to get one for my blog.

And about the Wii, let me know if and where you find one. I want to get one before June and I have noticed that they are not in the stores here either.

Nice look! I think I tripped over the sidebar when I came in, though. Warn a person when you move your virtual furniture!

Peace and Laughter!

PS-I just posted another of Chase's movies. Hope you like it!

Absolutely love the new look! And just FYI, we got our wii off of craigslist. Of course, because most craigslist transactions are done in person, don't do it by yourself. The professor should be involved.. to keep you safe. Wow.. sounding more like my mom everyday!

I have heard good things about the wii, and if my family needs to be obsessive over a game station, that this one might actually help them get exercize.

But it is a very illusive creature. Good look in your hunt. Maybe you need better bait?

and I like your new look!

You know, we tried to get hold of a Wii for Christmas but were told they were out of stock all across the country.
They look great. There's a Star Wars program being advertised and all 3 of my boys (including hubby) would love the chance of their own similated light sabre fights.
If you get one, tell us what it's like.
Love the blog facelift,
Blessings,
Paula

LOVE the new look! Very fresh and hip. Kudos to you and your designer.

And good luck with the Wii. My kids have been begging for one - jury is still out on that . . .

Melanie's right about the craig's list thing - on both counts! Buying and selling there is a breeze, but the safety thing is a good point.

I don't know if this will help you or not, BUT I have a tip about walmart. We found out that walmart (the ones where I live, anyway) get a few wii's delivered via ups every week. You just have to call and be there on the particular day the ups guy shows. This is how we got ours.....

I LOVE the new look. LOVE IT, LOVE IT!

We were able to get a Wii back in November. You have to ask the store what day they come in. Then hubby went and waited outside the store on the day they were supposed to come in and was able to get one without a problem.
